CONTIKI IRELAND 2018 – a GoPRO FUSION TRAVEL FILM

CHECK FUSION: MORE: if I never said yes…

36 of us on a coach across Ireland, we never would of met.

Losing each other at first drinks we woke to cycle the streets, it gave Kilkenny a new meaning, “The Script” was on repeat, we drank to that, be it Jameson & Dry, most did say it was smooth, here’s to me I’m not a whisky guy…

What followed was a day of more… starting at blarney I was granted the gift after a kiss and spent the afternoon at the cliff of moher. Every little part of me felt fulfilled that day. Maybe it was the company, each to their own, dawn to dust full of wanderlust, whatever, it’s still unknown. We ended it in Galway.

The day that I met Oscar. A walking tour of the city so iconic to yesteryear, my artistry awoke, it was he who wrote the sentiment at the start of this I spoke, I took my sip, it tasted rather smooth, something I’ll never forget.

I was asked about my favourite experience. The Islands were called Aran, it was the first time I’d felt like I was free. Nothing but the pedals, a group of friends, berries lined the streets beautiful castles were built by the beach. It was the emerald I could see. We’d crossed to the north.

The first sign of rain, peaceful in its current state, but darlin Derry, Londonderry oh lord I felt your pain so we moved a little further, a site that made me gasp. Be it science or fiction, my eyes preferred the latter, getting lost in the Giants story the Causeway didn’t matter, you know that saying about the journey not the destination, if there’s ever an exception, an extra hour of procrastination, it’d be here I’d take more time. Belfast was on line. A division of opinion. On a wall I printed peace, a city that never sleeps. We took to the streets and sang karaoke, Zombie (Cranberries) was the anthem, it made sense after all, after war, after Belfast, Dublin was to explore. One last city, One last hurrah, a factory full of it (Guinness), my mind lost in the advertisement, cobble stone streets, bustling pubs, the final sleep one last hug… what if I never said yess.
