Beaches in County Wicklow - Why Ireland

Brittas Bay
Brittas Bay is a long sandy sheltered beach with beautiful huge sand dunes. The beach is very popular with visitors from Dublin often coming out for a day trip. This beach has a European Union (EU) Blue Flag – the international award for the highest quality beach areas in Europe Brittas Bay Beach in County Wicklow has a 5km stretch of golden sand it’s a good spot for any watersports enthusiasts and is also perfect for walking and swimming.

Greystones Beach
Greystone’s blue flag beach is located suoth of Greystones Town, Co. Wicklow. The beach itself is quote small, just half a mile long but it has clean sa clean safe waters and sandy shore that have earned it its blue flag!
The beach can be accessed easily and is just a two minute walk from the DART station and beach car park. There is a children’s play area adjacent to the beach also!

Ennereilly beach
Ennereilly beach is near Arklow and is a great beach for sea angling. There is a small free parking area.

Johnsons Beach
Johnsons Beach is very close to Ennereilly beach. There is a small parking space at the top of a hill which leads down tos Johnsons’ beach. This is a great beach for sea anglingMagahermore Beach
Magahermore Beach is 2 miles south of Wicklow Town, close to Brittas Bay and about 40 minutes Dublin. It is sheltered by cliffs and has a nice sandy beach. The water is clear and shallow for a good distance out, making it safer for children. It is also a great spot for surfing as it has some of the best waves on the East coast of Ireland.
